Form of workGeorge Town Carriers is a locally owned and operatedfreighting business who, despite the George Town name now services all areasbetween Mowbray to Low head.
We are currently seeking full time and casual drivers forour vans and truck to add to our ever growing business.
A bit about the job:
The delivery run starts in the morning at the St LeonardsDepot and the delivery route covers suburbs between Launceston to Low Headincluding the Bell Bay industrial zone and then finishing back at St Leonards.
We transport all sorts of freight from small parcels forprivate customers to hefty pallets for large businesses. Each day is variedwith a strong focus on meeting deadlines.
Requirements:
Manual driver’s licence.
Due to the nature of the job the ability to work on your ownis essential. Previous experience in a similar role will be an advantage aswould a HR truck licence
A reasonable level of fitness is required to complete thejob due to manually loading and unloading freight.
Multitasking, communication skills as well as being able tomeet deadlines while out on the road are all important aspects of this job.
Navigational skills with the ability to follow directionsand instructions as well as a friendly attitude will go a long way in thisrole.
Wage:
Wage negotiable dependent on the applicant's experience.
