About the role
The Court Architect Specialist plays a crucial role in enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of court operations through innovative and sustainable architectural solutions. Some of the key accountabilities in the role include the following:
- Create, manage and maintain AVC Technology standards and support documentation to meet in-court functional requirements and industry standards while ensuring security and strategic compliance.
- Assess and escalate audiovisual and control system issues to service providers, expediting solutions and coordination between third-party providers and jurisdictional IT services.
- Provide specialised advice and resolutions for escalated audiovisual and video conference problems within agreed service levels.
- Investigate complex technical issues and offer strategic advice on projects impacting technical architecture for optimal in-court technology performance.
- Develop comprehensive long-term technology plans aligned with strategic planning, evaluate future AV technologies for courtroom enhancement, and explore innovative solutions in consultation with relevant judiciaries.
About you
A minimum of a tertiary qualification in Audio Visual, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent professional experience is mandatory.
Experience and/or training in AV engineering control systems, UC/VC systems, integration and commissioning.
- Vendor certification (e.g. Cisco, Microsoft, Crestron, Extron) is highly desirable.
- ITIL v3 Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management is desirable
- AVIXA Certification is desirable
- Cisco Certified Network Associate desirable
