Hays have partnered with a global engineering firm to support them with the appointment of an experienced Creo Designer to support Oil & Gas projects. This role is a long-term contract opportunity.
Your new role
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to create detailed plant layouts, and equipment models using Creo, Inventor and Autocad.
- Develop models, and drawings for process plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, project specifications, and safety regulations.
- Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise related to plant design.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to meet project deadlines.
- Assist in the preparation of material take-offs and bill of materials.
- Review and revise existing designs as needed.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proficiency in Creo, as well as exposure to Inventor and Autocad.
- Strong understanding of plant design principles, including switchgear, equipment, and instrumentation.
- Experience with 3D modelling, isometrics, and orthographic drawing.
- Knowledge of industry standards and codes (ASME, API, etc.).
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
