SalaryGnech and Associates are a busy boutique law firm in Brisbane City specialising in criminal and professional misconduct law. We also assist clients with domestic violence matters, inquests, Commissions of Inquiry and judicial reviews.
The firm is Brisbane based, however we represent clients in most courts across Queensland. We are a collaborative team who work daily on diverse and interesting matters. Gnech and Associates assist privately funded clients and are a legal aid preferred supplier.
We are ideally looking for an applicant with a minimum of 3 years plus post admission experience in criminal law.
This role would involve taking full responsibility for case file management. We are seeking someone with a strong work ethic who possesses excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
The role
This role would include the following duties:
- Attending Brisbane and regional courts for mentions, solicitor advocacy work, sentences and instructing barristers during trials.
- Appearing in tribunals, commissions and inquests.
- Working with clients throughout all stages of their matter to obtain instructions, build a solid working relationship and maintain communication.
- Providing outstanding legal advice and professional legal services to achieve excellent outcomes for clients.
- Legal research and writing (with a particular focus on written submissions).
- Fulltime permanent role.
Requirements
The successful candidate will need:
- a QLD practicing certificate
- a QLD drivers license and access to a vehicle for regional court attendances
- a minimum of 3 years experience in the QLD criminal justice system
