Keppel Bay Sailing Club is seeking a Crowd Controller/security officer to join the newly established, in-house team. The successful applicant will be required to assist in security and operational tasks as requested by management.
You will support the venue's compliance and security needs by enforcing licensing obligations and other security requirements. You will be representing the company professionally and are expected to follow and support our Code of Conduct. In return, KBSC is offering:

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:
- Ensure staff and customers are held to account for our code of conduct, equal opportunity, and diversity principles.
- Report on and investigate any breaches of behavioral standards.
- Create a culture of respectfully dealing with staff and customers, practicing confidentiality, maintaining rapport and communication lines, and embracing challenging conversations.
- Provide friendly and efficient customer service for all persons entering the venue.
- Conduct site safety audits, complete risk assessments and plan staff training sessions.
- Table service/clearing.
- Other duties as required.
Successful candidates must demonstrate the following qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 1-year experience as a Security Officer
- QLD Crowd controller license
- RSA Certificate
- Current first aid certificate
- Effective communication
- Exceptional customer service skills
- De-escalation and problem-solving
- Previous experience working security for hospitality venues is preferred.
