AddressA friendly professional family in Croydon South, VIC are seeking a calm, nurturing and responsible nanny to assist in the care of their baby boy (6 months old).
The days and normal hours are:- 2-3 days
Initially two days, then moving to three days after the first three months (negotiable for the right candidate)
Monday 8.00am -5.00pm
Tuesday 8.00am -5.00pm (after the first 3 months)
Friday 8.00am -5.00pm
An ideal nanny would be experienced, warm, calm and nurturing. A nanny that is friendly and is happy, playful and interested to actively engage with the baby which will help the baby’s growth and development . The family is looking for someone who is honest, safe and responsible and is able to care for the baby throughout the day.
Prior experience/professional qualifications working with young/new born babies (1 and under) is highly important for this role.
The nanny must be comfortable with at least 1 parent working from home.
The carer’s responsibilities for this role will be as follows –
- To care for the baby
- Follow the baby’s routine
- Play and engage age appropriate activities to assist in the baby development.
- Take the baby out for walks or to activities
- Assist with light household duties, keeping main areas clean and tidy, quick vacuum, mop and unloading/stacking dishwasher, child laundry, tidy of toys/babies room- Any extra assistance you can provide the family will be greatly appreciated.
The family’s expectations from their nanny are –
- 5+ years experience as a nanny or working in child care
- Childcare qualification preferred
- Young baby experience
- Have a current first aid certificate (or happy to obtain one)
- Have a current Working with Children’s Check
- Display strong communication skills and speak English.
- Non smoking
- Up to date with all vaccinations
- Comfortable with dogs (The family have 2 cavoodles)
