OPS own and operate from large modern facilities; our Bibra Lake facility has 28,000 square meters of land and 6,000 square meters of workshop. Boasting 9 overhead cranes, an extremely modern facility, supporting equipment repairs, rebuilds, brand new equipment assembly, and repair and maintenance of the company owned large hire fleet.

About the Opportunity…
As a Crusher / Mechanical Fitter, your core daily duties will include conducting maintenance, service, repairs, pre deliveries and troubleshooting on a range of mobile and stationary equipment, in line with OEM standards and requirements. Predominately, you will be working on mobile screening and crushing plant.
It is crucial to adhere to OEM standards and requirements to ensure optimal performance. A significant portion of your work will centre around the Finlay brand of mobile screening and crushing equipment.
This role offers a well-balanced mix of workshop and site-based opportunities, with travel to regional sites as necessary to support our clients. Your expertise will contribute to the smooth operation and reliability of diverse mechanical systems in the field. Hourly rates between $48.00 and $65.00, plus higher rates when working over 45 hours in a week!
About you…
Qualifications / Tickets / Licenses:
- Certificate III in Mechanical Fitting/Mechanical Engineering/Heavy Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
- Full unrestricted ‘C’ Class Driver’s License – HR desirable
- Forklift Licence (desirable).
Skills / Experience / Abilities:
- A minimum 3+ years post training experience, with mobile screening and crushing equipment
- Demonstrated experience with reading and interpreting hydraulics and electrical schematics
- Ability to think on your feet to diagnose, fault find and conduct urgent repairs and maintenance and repairs to mechanical, engine systems and hydraulic systems
- Ability to conduct basic welding duties
- Must be able to pass a Pre-employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol screen
