About the Role

Gippsland Southern Health Service has an exciting opportunity for an experienced CT Radiographer to join our dynamic and supportive Medical Imaging Team as CT Modality Lead.

The position is full-time and permanent, however, part-time and flexible working arrangements may be considered. Working across both campuses, our normal hours of work are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5:00pm with a requirement to participate in the after-hours call roster for CT and X-Ray. Operationally, you will be responsible to the Medical Imaging Manager and on occasion you may be required to deputise for them.

As a senior member of the Medical Imaging team your primary objective is the provision of a high quality and patient focussed imaging services. You will be responsibie for the efficient day-to-day management of the CT service. Including quality activities, education and training, protocol development, equipment maintenance and compliance.

About You

You will have completed a Degree in Medical Imaging Science (Radiography) or hold an equivalent qualification with current AHPRA Registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner. Experience in CT essential.

Preference will be given to candidates with;

  • Expertise in Cardiac CT and CT Coronary Angiography
  • Experience in the leading development of CT protocols, policies and procedures
  • Proven leadership and management skills or a willingness to take on a leadership role within Medical Imaging
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients, colleagues and all stakeholders
  • A focus on the patient and best care, quality, patient safety and minimising risk.
  • Excellent time management with the ability to prioritise and make decisions
  • A positive “can-do” attitude and eagerness to learn with evidence of ongoing self-development.
  • An ability to respond and adapt to changing conditions and service developments
  • Self-motivation and flexibility and the capacity to be understanding, display empathy and problem solve effectively.
  • IV Cannulation certification

Staff have access to supportive staff mentoring, education and development programs.  Salary Packaging is available for all staff.  The successful applicant will be required to provide satisfactory and current police check, a working with children check and NDIS Worker Screening Check.
