About the role:
Join Parks Victoria as a Cultural Fire Coordinator and contibute towards the integration of Cultural Fire practices in the land management approach across the parks estate. In this role you will be working closely with the Manager of Cultural Fire Planning to ensure that our regional and district teams are supported in implementing Cultural Fire programs and continue to build strong relationships with Traditional Owner groups.
You will be a driven professional with experience in coordinating state-wide or regional land management programs, the provision of technical advice and knowledge of fire or conservation management processes. This role seeks an effective communicator with the ability to lead high-quality engagement with Traditional Owners across the state.

We're looking for someone with:
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in natural resource, land and fire management in Victoria, including high level working knowledge of fire and conservation management processes
  • Demonstrated experience in engagement and partnership-building with Traditional Owner groups
  • Accreditation as a Planned Burn Operation Officer and/or a tertiary qualification in environmental science, natural resource management or equivalent is desirable
