Currumbin Clinic - 1 x Part-time Cook Position

Currumbin Clinic is a 104-bed private mental health hospital located on the Southern Gold Coast, delivering high quality care and positive patient outcomes. We have a team of dedicated Psychiatrists, Medical, Nursing, Allied and Administrative staff who provide expert care in the management and treatment of all acute mental health disorders. 

This role will report to the Hospital Services Manager, the successful applicant will have a working knowledge of the principles of safety within a health care environment.

Essential Criteria:

• Completion of, or working towards a recognised catering qualification
• and/or proven ability in a similar position.
• Certificate in Safe Food Handling
• Work both independently and within a team structure
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and privacy
• Available to work weekends/evenings
• Sound knowledge of cooking methods and techniques.
• Experience working as a Cook.
• The ability to follow instruction from chef.
• The ability to follow recipes.
• Cooking according to recipes and set menus.
• The ability to work in a team.
• The ability to stand for extended periods of time.
• Effective communication skills.

Desirable Criteria:

• Certificate III in health services.
• High Standard of customer service and team approach.
• Experience in a similar role is preferred but not essential.
• Ability to work with minimal supervisions and to prioritise work effectively.
