Our client is a global insurance company, also protecting Australians and what's important to them for more than 20 years through their range of products. Due to growth we're currently seeking a Customer Service Consultant to join their team in a full-time permanent capacity. Within this role you will provide will assist customers with general enquiries, policy upgrades via phone, email and online chat.
The role:
- Manage inbound and/or outbound calls, with the outcome being servicing or selling insurance products.
- Provide outstanding, accurate and reliable information and service using written and verbal communication (ie emails, chat bots and phone calls) within prescribed timeframes.
- Understand and interpret underwriting guidelines to decline policies that fall outside risk appetite where applicable.
- Apply sales techniques to close sales where applicable.
- Action daily tasks and reports within prescribed timeframes.
- Compliance with all relevant Policies and Procedures.
What we're looking for:
- Insurance industry experience advantageous but not essential (training will be provided)
- Call centre experience (favourable)
- Experience within Customer Service
- Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office
- Ability to listen and communicate in a respectful manner
- Show empathy
- Skills in negotiation, asking probing questions, Customer Service, persuasion or investigations
- Sound interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport
