Bauer Foundations is a market leader in piling, retaining structure and ground engineering solutions and with a national footprint and continued growth, we are looking for experienced Piling Rig and Cutter Operators to join our team.
What we’re looking for
Ideally, you will bring the following skills and experience:
- 10+ years of bored/CFA piles, diaphragm walls or cut-off walls using grabs and cutters and/or Ground Improvement experience in the Australian and/or international markets.
- Extensive experience in construction, civil and/or mining
- Extensive experience in the rigging, operation and maintenance of rotary piling rigs, cutters, and grabs
- Demonstrated understanding of civil and construction methodologies and processes
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a close-knit team.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Open Crane license (CO)
- Dogger license (DG)
- Intermediate and/or Advanced Rigging licence (RI/RA)
- Current drivers’ licence
- Construction Industry Induction (Blue/White card)
- Documented experience in the operation of piling rigs, grabs, cutters, and ancillary equipment
(Including Vibrators, Power Packs, Casing Extractors, hydraulic/mechanical grabs, BC cutters, pumps, etc.)
- Willingness to work away from home as required, including remote areas, mining operations, etc.
- Relevant Australian working rights (Australian Citizen, appropriate visa, etc.)
- Basic mechanical knowledge and troubleshooting capabilities (in relation to minor rig servicing, maintenance, and plant improvements)
Highly Desirable:
- Experience in the following:
- Diaphragm Walls
- Ground Improvement
- Soil Mixing
- Deep shaft drilling
- Hard rock drilling
- Other licenses and qualifications, including:
- Excavator
- Elevated Work Platform
- Working at Height
- First aid and CPR
- Mining inductions and training competencies (Standard 11, etc.)
- Risk Management and Health and Safety
- Light Vehicle Operations, Load Restraint and Chain of Responsibility
