The opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Cyber Security Consulting Team Lead to join our growing team. As an experienced technical Cyber Security practitioner, you will own and drive significant risk reduction initiatives and ensure information security risk is considered and mitigated across the core business, 3rd party suppliers, programs, and projects.

Your new role

A day in this role may look a bit like this;

  • Leading team of experienced cybersecurity consultants, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team's success. Fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture, promoting knowledge sharing and continuous learning within the cybersecurity domain.

  • Provide a positive environment by modelling cultural expectations and guiding leaders to reward performance and value "can do" people, accountability, diversity and inclusion, flexibility, continuous improvement, collaboration, creativity and fun

  • Conducting 'Secure By Design' assessments to align risks with business risk appetite.

  • Providing technical security advice, solutioning, and assurance in line with industry best practices.

  • Taking personal accountability for identifying and mitigating technical or business security weaknesses.

  • Role modelling creation, innovation, and negotiation of solutions, fostering a fast-paced and agile mindset.

  • Building strong relationships with divisional business and project stakeholders, proactively identifying issues, and improving security consultancy services for divisional and global projects.

  • Works closely with the broader Cyber Security team and other teams to identify opportunities for strategic security solutions.

  • Manages budgeted resources by anticipating expenditures, accurately forecasting resource needs/costs and properly accounting for expenses to meet requirements

  • Takes ownership of problems and proactively resolves technical problems, ensuring that technical solutions continue to meet business requirements. Takes full accountability for actions taken and decisions made

Please note that for the successful candidate, this process will include a phone screen with our Talent Acquisition team, 2/3 interviews (either face to face or online via Teams) and background checks’.

About you

To be successful in this role you will have extensive varied experience across the Cyber and IT industry, highlighting any prior experience in consulting.

You will also have a;

  • Problem solving mindset with tenacity to see solutions through to delivery.

  • Demonstrable ability to lead a Cyber team to develop Cyber talent to build technical excellence and decision-making confidence

  • Insightful and expert ability to identify people, processes or technology risks impacting Cyber Security posture; getting into the mindset of an adversary

  • Strong demonstrable experience with security and risk-based standards such as ISO27001, NIST800, PCI-DSS

  • Experienced in helping a business, its’ partners and customers to become more innovative and fast paced delivering improved business agility

  • Experienced in working across multiple in house and outsourced service models, time zones and collaborating in a multi-cultural environment
