We are seeking an experienced enterprise endpoint and cloud Security Engineer to join the cyber operations team at ADF Careers.
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing security solutions within our Microsoft Azure environment and across the endpoint fleet. You will ensure that security measures and controls implemented within IT systems are aligned to industry standards, regulatory requirements and organisational policies.

Job Description
Reporting to the Director Cyber Security, you will have a solid understanding and ability to configure endpoints and servers to enhance the Cyber Security posture, designing and implementing security solutions within our Microsoft Azure environment and across the endpoint fleet.
You will:
- Identify gaps in the current ICT infrastructure including Cloud and Active Directory policy configuration.
- Collaborate with cross functional internal and external teams to deliver security initiatives.
- Automation of cyber related tasks and workflows such as compliance reporting between Azure Dev Ops and cloud hosted systems.
- Design and develop technical solutions to meet current and emerging compliance and security requirements.
- Developing and implementing security policies, procedures and protocols
- Provide Microsoft cloud subject matter expertise during incident response and alert analysis
- Perform sentinel detection and automated response engineering
- Documentation of current cloud based technology configurations
- Design and implementation of Microsoft Purview DLP related rules
- Provide technical guidance to the Cyber Technical lead around process improvement activities
- Collaborating with other IT professionals to ensure that security measures are integrated into all aspects of organization’s infrastructure
- Intune and application control configuration and policy design
- Contributing to the development and improvement of the organization’s overall cybersecurity strategy
Candidate’s Profile
As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will have at least 10 years experience in enterprise Active Directory and endpoint management.
A Bachelors’ Degree in computer science or relevant experience and Microsoft related Industry certifications (such as Azure security Engineer Associate, Azure Administrator Associate)
Your background will demonstrate:
- Experience within the Defence industry, Government and classified environments is preferable
- Proficiency in technical writing
- Extensive PowerShell scripting experience
- Strong understanding of cloud security principals, architecture and best practices in line with the Australian Information Security Manual
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to learn new ICT systems and technologies.
- Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent communication and time management skills
- Ability to work independently or as a collaborative team member.
