Cyber Security Specialist

Job Description We are currently working with one of our esteemed clients to help find a skilled and proactive Cyber Security Specialist for their team. As a Cyber Security Specialist with our client, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the robust security of their cloud-based systems and solutions. You'll collaborate closely with their internal teams, including the Head of Engineering and Technical Services Manager, to design and implement effective security measures.
Key Responsibilities:

• Translate complex technical designs into actionable requirements.
• Design and articulate security controls to mitigate various attack vectors.
• Analyze security architecture for cloud-based solutions and provide insightful critiques.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and maintain security standards and strategies.
• Identify security deficiencies and communicate them effectively to stakeholders.
• Continuously improve security processes and practices.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in security-related roles, encompassing security risk management, assurance, solution design, and architecture.
• Strong understanding of security best practices and standards, including ISO27001 and PCI DSS.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to business stakeholders.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks in alignment with organizational objectives.
• Experience leading risk discussions and providing pragmatic recommendations.
• Proficiency in developing and documenting security standards and processes.
• Capability to work independently and take ownership of deliverables.
• Experience with AWS is advantageous.
