About the role:
This ICT Network Security Engineer position, located within an independent statutory agency, is integral to implementing measures to support Australians with disabilities. The role requires expertise in networking concepts, security solutions, and conducting comprehensive security assessments.
The Cyber Security Specialist will be responsible for the analysis and development of the recommendations to improve Cyber Security resilience of Operational Technology.
Required experience/skills - ICT Network Security Engineer - NV 1 Security Clearance is Mandatory
- Demonstrated understanding of networking concepts: MPLS, VRFs, VPNs
- Proficiency in protocols: BGP, OSPF, ARP, DNS, DHCP
- Experience in security solutions: firewalls, WAFs, segmentation, IDS
- Practical implementation and maintenance of security infrastructure
- Skilled in Cyber Security assurance and reporting
- Expertise in conducting Network Security risk assessments
- Ability to conduct architecture reviews for identifying security gaps
Required experience/skills - Cyber Security Specialist - NV 1 Security Clearance is Mandatory
- Ability to conduct architecture reviews for identifying security gaps
- Assessing and recommending enhancements to the security posture of OT systems.
- Providing guidance for OT Cyber Security across various industrial sectors.
- Performing industrial risk analysis and developing mitigation strategies.
- Reviewing documentation related to control system Cyber Security.
- Assessing compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other Cyber Security Specialists to recommend improvements to client’s overall Cyber Security resilience
