About the role:The
Support Analyst –
Cyber Security will be responsible for detection and response activities, performing at the required level, to minimize the risk and impact of unauthorized access by internal and external
Cyber Security threats. You will support the Manger - Cyber Threat Defence to effectively manage
Cyber Security threats, vulnerabilities, and operational risks with administration of
Cyber Security policy, procedures and controls.What the role will involve:
- Utilise SIEM and security technologies to help SOC and Threat Defence monitor and investigate events
- Responds to Cyber Security incidents according to the Cyber Security incident response policy and procedures
- Ensure identified operational risks are appropriately evaluated
- Work with technology support teams and owners to ensure identified vulnerabilities are being addressed appropriate to the level of risk presented to the organisation
- Responsible for user education and awareness training and formal campaigns in relation to cyber Security
- Conduct Phishing Simulations and report to assist in the maturity of cyber awareness
- Ensure Cyber Security operational policy and processes are being followed
- Ensure identification process and technologies are appropriate and in working order
- Work with resolver groups to ensure identified vulnerabilities are being addressed appropriate to the level of risk presented to the organisation
Key skills and experience:- Tertiary level qualification in Information and Communications Technology, or a relevant business / ICT area
- Considerable experience in Cyber Security analysis practices and methods
- Considerable experience in Cyber Security audit, enterprise risk management, penetration testing, red team/incident responder, or as a Cyber Security operations analyst
- Considerable experience with regulatory compliance and information security management frameworks (such as International Organization for Standardisation [IS0] 27000 or National Institute of Standards and Technology [NIST] 800)
- Demonstrated skills in security tools, vulnerability scanning, SIEMs, log analysis, incident management.
- Broad technical knowledge of Cyber Security infrastructure areas of responsibility.
