An opportunity exists for a Data Analyst to join this organisation.
This organisation is directly shaping the future of community support and engagement across the entire Australian not-for-profit sector by working closely with community leaders, philanthropists, government and other key stakeholders. This organisation has developed its Shared Decision-Making model with the community to bring key stakeholders together to work collaboratively and in partnership to impact the Early Childhood system, prioritising outcomes for children, families, the community, and the system itself.
About The Role
This is an exceptional opportunity where you can play an integral role in providing evidence-based analysis on the impact of funding and program initiatives in the community. You will be responsible for:
- Collecting, cleaning, and analysing data from multiple sources including national and federal data sets, public and open-source data, and various government departments.
- Developing and maintaining databases and data systems.
- Creating quality visualisations and reports to communicate findings effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Build close relationships with community members and government stakeholders while providing evidence-based data that can influence stakeholders.
- Supporting program evaluation and impact assessment.
- Contributing to research projects and grant applications.
- Developing schedules and strategies to monitor and evaluate programs and initiatives.
To Truly Thrive In This Position, You Should Have Experience In The Community Development Sector Working For NGOs, Government Or Not-for-profit Organisations Where You Can Help Drive Social Change. You Should Also Be Able To Demonstrate
- Strong qualitative data experience with an ability to work directly with the community members to collect data and understand how the data can be ethically collected and utilised
- A strong understanding of quantitative data collection strategies including knowing how to collect data, where it can be collected and how it can be effectively utilised.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities so you can collate large volumes of complex data and break it down to identify connections and understand trends and outcomes.
- It will be highly advantageous if you have experience building dashboards and visualisations.
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex data insights with stakeholders will be critical to your success in this role.
- You should be highly adaptable and enjoy working in a dynamic and fluid environment. Programs, initiatives and priorities will change.
- A strong understanding of different cultural environments will be hugely advantageous.
