Data and Voice Communications Apprenticeship

The Opportunity

Partnered with our host Wizard Solutions, we are looking for a motivated Data and Voice Apprentice to join their team and complete the UEE30420 Certificate III in Data and Voice Communications.

This position is full-time, and based in Bibra Lake, WA.

You will be mentored by industry professionals while completing a blend of on-the-job training and theory coursework and working all over the region. Wizard Solutions offers a big of variety of  Data and Voice work that you wouldn't usually get exposure to but will make you a very skilled tradesperson.

Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:

• Installation, maintenance and upgrade of CCTV, alarm and access control systems
• Providing IT Solutions
• Installation of Security, data, Voice/VoIP solutions
• Upgrade of Telephone systems
• Installation of electrical and data cabling

You must have excellent communication skills and be ready and willing to undertake physical work in an indoor and outdoor settings. You will have excellent problem solving and solid maths skills. Most importantly you will have deliberately targeted this trade as your professional and not just a ‘job’.

In addition to these qualities, you will:

• Have completed a minimum of year 10 with good results in English and Mathematics
• Have a driver's licence
• Have a construction White Card (or be willing to get one)
• Be safety-minded
• Be well presented
• Have excellent listening skills and able to follow instructions
• Work safely
• Ideally live within 20kms of Birba Lake South of Perth.
