We are working with one of Australia's key IT Service providers who are currently in the process of bringing onboard a number of Infrastructure Specialists to work on a large Migration project. They are currently looking to recruit an Infrastructure Engineer and Infrastructure Architect to work on a Data Center Migration.The ideal candidates would have had previous experience working on a Data Center Migration Project preferably from Hyper V to VMWare.As the Infrastructure Architect, your contribution to the Project will be integral as you would be involved in the design and build of a new Data Center including the server and networking infrastructure.About the role:You will be involved in:
- Developing and documenting functional and non-functional requirements for the future infrastructure platform running primarily on Nutanix and VMWare for our financial services client.
- Develop and document functional and non-functional requirements for the Datacentre Migration
- Produce a High Level Infrastructure Design for the future x86 Platform and associated services
- Understand the challenges that come with networks and how to overcome these, as well as a deep understanding of Technical Verification and Business Verification testing processes that come with these moves
- We need people with experience with migration of workloads from Hyper-V to VMWare as this is what needs to be done!
- Strong proven background in Infrastructure Architecture, in particular being able to demonstrate understanding around design governance, frameworks, patterns.
- Extensive experience with architecting infrastructure solutions across the technology domains of datacentres, infrastructure platforms (x86, including Nutanix) & networking systems (LAN, WAN)
- Extensive experience with Datacentre migration planning and execution
- Experienced with IAM using Active Directory and preferably OKTA or similar
