SA Police are seeking an experienced Data Conversion Lead on a fixed-term contract for 12 months.

Your new role
The Data Conversion Lead will devise and implement the Data Conversion strategy, to ensure the efficient data migration from legacy mainframe systems into the new Shield application. The Data Conversion Lead will work closely with other Shield staff and operational managers and team leaders to ensure the availability and quality of IS&T services to SAPOL.
You will work with a technical team to coordinate the conversion and archiving of legacy application information and be responsible for the design of the Data Conversion framework and methodology. You will provide expert advice to the program and the wider business and be able to communicate technical updates to a non-technical audience.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical direction and oversight to technical members of a project team on Data Conversion, archiving and data quality.
- Ability to provide technical documentation relating to project Data Conversion strategy, business processes, interface specifications, and data quality metrics using appropriate tools.
- Extensive knowledge and experience of the SQL language including the development of complex SQL queries.
- Advanced level of analytical and conceptual thinking skills and an ability to gather and interpret information.
- Understanding and practical experience managing in a SDLC and ITIL environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technology solutions in business terms, establish rapport and persuade others.
- Proven ability to impart information and communicate complex technical ICT concepts in a professional manner and to a wide range of audiences, including the development of documentation to a high standard.
Salary
ASO7 $106,512 – 115,137 per annum plus superannuation.
