Position: Data Engineer
Location: Perth, CBD
Job Type: Short-term contract, 1 - 2 months (extension likely)
Salary: $950 - $1050 p/dPosition Overview:
OUI Recruitment is looking for an experienced Data Engineer to join a large internal environment. This role involves wearing a few hats, from hands-on technical, offering guidance and direction to the junior team, and assisting with the delivery of Data Pipeline components. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Experience in data lake and data warehouse processes (Snowflake Engineering)
• Apply best practices in version control, utilizing tools like Git, to manage codebase and collaborate effectively with team members.
• DBT for managing and orchestrating data transformations, ensuring data integrity and efficiency in the ETL process.
• Experience using Python scripts for data extraction, transformation, and loading tasks, enhancing automation and scalability.
• Utilize SQL scripting for data analysis, query optimization, and performance tuning to support analytical requirements.
• Perform data modelling activities to design and implement conformed data models, ensuring consistency and efficiency in data ingestion processes.
• Provide direction and support to junior Data Analysts when required.
