Our client, a large independent statutory agency, whose focus is to provide services and support to Australians living with disability, Seek the experience of a Data Governance Director (EL2) for a long 12+12 month contract, located in Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney.
Duties of the Data Governance Director
- Establishing and maintaining strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Completing a revised Data Strategy and documenting target state for data and analytics.
- Provide a high level of responsiveness and resolve complex stakeholder issues.
- Represents and negotiates on behalf of the client to advance the client's interests in defined circumstances.
- Present the client's position in the context of highly complex or sensitive issues or contentious information with a range of audiences.
- Designing and managing the governance framework for the data projects portfolio.
- Capturing interdependencies and sequencing risks across the data project portfolio.
- Influencing program delivery to minimise disruption to existing products and services.
- Preparing and managing a range of written material including benefit cases, Steering Committee material, Agency briefs, and other corporate documentation.
Skills and Experience Required
- Extensive experience leading large transformation projects, covering technology, people and process.
- Establishing and maintaining project governance structures and operating rhythms.
- Managing Steering Committee meetings, facilitating and preparing meeting materials.
- Working effectively in a matrix structure with multiple teams and project streams.
- Experience in delivering data & reporting transformation projects (desired).
- Experience and understanding of disability sector and community, and motivation to help people with disabilities reach their full potential (desired)
