The Role You Could Play
As our Data & Insights Analyst, you will partner with the People & Education (P&E) leadership team to tackle high priority people questions and embed insights across all phases of the team member lifecycle. This includes, employee retention, education/learning, safety compliance and organisational development.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Owning, optimising and enhancing the existing People & Education reporting, by establishing governance and quality control measures to ensure accuracy of People & Education metrics
- Act as a specialist on team member data, reporting and analytics. Responsible for developing, building and delivering reporting, analytics and insights (e.g. through tools such as Tableu) to support leaders to enable better people decision making capabilities and maintain standardized dashboards and other related metrics reports on behalf of People & Education.
- Constantly reviewing current reporting processes, identifying and driving improvements across People & Education.
- Defining, documenting and extending reports and dashboards in Tableau, working with MECCA’s system SMEs and creating insights that align to our strategy or people plans
- Developing a prioritised roadmap that outlines the shorter- and longer-term changes to the reporting suite
- Communication of insights to key stakeholders and influencing teams/leaders to act based on your recommendations
- Using data and insights to solve complex problems, i.e. the measurement of ROI on key education initiatives
- Building a foundation of analytical capabilities within the P&E team through education, self service tools and instilling a culture of experimentation
- Leading the annual Workplace Gender Equality Agency reporting across a variety of departments, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Supporting the People & Education budgeting process specifically focusing on training, in partnership with the retail team each year.
What You Will Bring
- Extensive experience in reporting, analytics, and/or people intelligence
- Experience producing executive level dashboards and insights and the passion for using data to uncover insights, tell the story, and drive business performance
- Confidence in navigating large datasets and writing/debugging SQL with consideration to performance constraints
- Highly proficient using data visualisation tools – Tableau is a must, PowerBI is a bonus but not essential. Additionally you will have advanced skills in MS tools like Excel and VBA
- Highly consultative, able to influence others by building relationships and make the complex simple
- Ability to build strong and collaborative working relationships with diverse client base, including People & Education, Retail Operations, Education etc.
- A high level of attention to detail and commitment to the accuracy and integrity of data;
- Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
As a highly organised and you are comfortable working autonomously and collaboratively in a growing, fast-paced environment where you apply a people-first and pragmatic mindset to everything you do. You have outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills, and you love partnering with leaders and team members.
