Position Title: Data Migration Officer (temporary until December 2025)

The City of Launceston's Corporate Application Replacement Project (CARP) is a high priority transformational project and involves the implementation of a corporate application solution that supports our ICT Strategy.
This temporary full-time position leads activities associated with Data Migration, evaluating the data in legacy applications, mapping, testing and overseeing the migration of data to the future-state cloud-based solution.
We are looking for someone who demonstrates, through behaviour, an alignment and an understanding of our values and has the following qualifications, skills and experience:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or 5 years' experience working in complex data environments
- Demonstrated experience in data modelling and legacy systems analysis
- Experience with Data Migration projects involving SQL/Oracle
- Strong experience in data production and reporting
- Ability to articulate technical issues to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
