Data Protection Specialist

Green Light have an exciting opportunity for a high calibre, experienced Data Protection Specialist to join our Canberra delivery team.
 
You will play a key role in deploying, configuring, and optimising Data Protection solutions to safeguard organisation's valuable data assets. You will collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand Data Protection requirements, design deployment strategies, and ensure seamless integration with existing IT infrastructure.
 
Responsibilities
 
Deployment Planning:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to assess Data Protection needs and develop deployment strategies for DPS solutions.
• Design deployment architectures considering scalability, performance, and compliance requirements.
• Coordinate deployment schedules and resources to ensure timely and successful implementation.

 
Configuration and Setup:

• Configure and customize DPS software to meet specific Data Protection and recovery objectives.
• Set up data backup schedules, retention policies, encryption settings, and access controls.
• Integrate DPS solutions with existing IT systems, applications, and cloud services.

 
Testing and Validation:

• Conduct thorough testing of DPS implementations to verify functionality, performance, and compatibility.
• Validate data backup and recovery processes to ensure data integrity and availability.
• Document test results, identify issues, and collaborate with teams to address and resolve them.

 
Training and Documentation:

• Provide training sessions to IT staff and end-users on using DPS solutions effectively.
• Develop comprehensive documentation, guidelines, and best practices for Data Protection and DPS usage.
• Create troubleshooting guides and support materials to assist in resolving Data Protection issues.

 
Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Proven experience in deploying and managing Data Protection solutions, preferably with DPS or similar technologies.
• In-depth knowledge of data backup and recovery processes and Data Protection best practices.
• Proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting IT systems, networks, and storage infrastructure.
