About NCVER 

The National Centre for Vocational Education Research Ltd (NCVER) helps promote better understanding and discussion within the vocational education and training (VET) sector, and assists policy makers, practitioners, industry, training providers, and students to make informed decisions. 

NCVER is a professional and independent body responsible for collecting, managing, analysing, evaluating, and communicating research and statistics about VET and the links between education and the labour market more generally. About the role

We are looking for an energetic and highly motivated Data Quality Analyst to assure and advance the quality and integrity of VET activity data being submitted under the national data standard.  The position will be responsible for providing business support and subject matter expertise on the national VET data collections to internal and external stakeholders and contribute to the quarterly Data Quality review process. 

About you

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to foster productive relationships with all stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-quality data-related advice and services.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work independently, manage time appropriately, prioritise workloads, and resolve conflicts with constructive approach.
  • Experience with Data Quality assurance through analysis, identification of relevant insights, and recommendation of appropriate action including awareness of any impact on downstream business areas or stakeholders
  • Knowledge of Data Quality assurance procedures, policies and frameworks. 
  • Relevant qualification, or equivalent experience, in a discipline such as mathematics, statistics or economics/social sciences.
  • Knowledge of the VET sector will be highly regarded

Appointment details

  • Contract role to 24 December 2025 based in Adelaide
  • Hybrid working from the office/home arrangement
  • Gifted leave over Christmas shut down
  • Salary in the range of $90,000 - $115,000 (plus 12% superannuation), to be negotiated
