Job description

About The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation

We make an impact by funding life-changing medical research to help people live healthier for longer. Through the power of the collective, we support and facilitate the work of incredible researchers who are dedicated to making breakthroughs in the areas of heart disease, lung disease, mental health and ageing.

Researchers rely on time to make medical discoveries that go on to save lives. Our goal is to provide them with as much time as possible in the hopes of changing lives for the better.

We are also proud to support hospital innovation and patient care initiatives at both The Prince Charles Hospital and Caboolture Hospital.

Your impact:

At The Prince Charles Hospital Foundation, your role isn’t just a job; it’s a chance to contribute to impactful research that transforms lives on a significant scale.

Every day, your efforts can make a difference in the lives of those affected by health conditions, both now and for generations to come. It’s an opportunity to leave a legacy you can be proud of.

As a people-focused organisation, whether it’s our supporters, community members, researchers, volunteers, or each other, people are at the heart of everything we do.

About the role:

The Database Coordinator will maintain data integrity and security, create data selections for appeal and other communications, batch import and transform data into Raiser’s Edge CRM, analyse data and develop reports.

You will be a vital member of the Philanthropy and Fundraising team, supporting the data needs of the team and broader organisation.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop, produce and maintain reports.
  • Maintain the donor database Raiser’s Edge including data integrity and updates, quality control, troubleshooting issues with external suppliers, developing and documenting processes, and platform integrations.
  • Work with the Supporter Services team to ensure donations (including goods) are processed, recorded, and acknowledged in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Manage data: audits and cleaning, selections, segmentation, suppressions, de-duplication, personalisations and other database marketing functions.
  • Work with the GM Philanthropy and Fundraising on data analysis projects e.g., lifetime value, recency/frequency/value, attrition, predictive modelling.
  • Regularly assess data to identify prospects for moving into higher value support (e.g. regular givers, major supporters and bequestors).
  • Promote a 360-degree view of supporters and processes which ensure effective and consistent usage of the database.
  • Other duties as directed by the General Manager Philanthropy and Fundraising.

Key requirements:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as IT, fundraising, marketing, or demonstrated transferable skills in a similar role.
  • Experience in the coordination of donor databases – ideally with Raiser’s Edge.
  • Experience in data management: maintenance, integrity, extraction, manipulation.
  • Experience in data segmentation: providing data selections for targeting and analysis of appeals.
  • Great with data and analysis and reporting to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Knowledge of fundraising, particularly direct marketing.
  • Strong skills in computer literacy, data entry and administration.
  • Excellent time management - highly organised and efficient
  • Committed to accurate and quality service.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Positive, self-motivated, collaborative, flexible (able to adapt to changing priorities and work demands).
