Position: Maintenance Electrician - Day shift
Responsibilities:
As a Maintenance Electrician for a large packaging manufacturer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of our manufacturing equipment through effective maintenance and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include:
Equipment Maintenance:
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and electrical systems.
- Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
Troubleshooting:
- Identify and resolve electrical issues with packaging machinery.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and address equipment failures.
Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to safety protocols and standards while conducting maintenance activities.
- Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
- Report any potential safety hazards or equipment issues to the maintenance supervisor.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors regarding maintenance updates.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
- Solid understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
- Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of safety protocols and electrical codes.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education and Certification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Electrician certification or relevant trade qualifications.
