Day Shift - Maintenance Electrician

Position: Maintenance Electrician - Day shift

Responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Electrician for a large packaging manufacturer, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous operation of our manufacturing equipment through effective maintenance and troubleshooting. Key responsibilities include:

1. Equipment Maintenance:

   • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on manufacturing machinery and electrical systems.
   • Diagnose and repair electrical malfunctions in a timely manner to minimize downtime.

2. Troubleshooting:

   • Identify and resolve electrical issues with packaging machinery.
   • Collaborate with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and address equipment failures.

3. Safety and Compliance:

   • Adhere to safety protocols and standards while conducting maintenance activities.
   • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and regulations.

4. Documentation:

   • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including repairs and inspections.
   • Report any potential safety hazards or equipment issues to the maintenance supervisor.

5. Collaboration:

   • Work closely with other maintenance team members and production staff to ensure a smooth workflow.
   • Communicate effectively with colleagues and superiors regarding maintenance updates.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Maintenance Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Solid understanding of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
• Familiarity with PLCs and industrial control systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of safety protocols and electrical codes.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Education and Certification:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Electrician certification or relevant trade qualifications.
