We're looking for someone to manage and monitor SQL Server databases, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and security. Your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining database backup and recovery strategies to minimize data loss and downtime. Additionally, you will perform regular maintenance tasks, such as index rebuilding, query optimization, and database tuning, and proactively identify and resolve performance issues and bottlenecks. Collaboration with developers, system administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure efficient and effective use of database resources will also be a key aspect of this role.In this position, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement database security policies and procedures to protect sensitive data, monitor and analyze performance metrics, and provide recommendations for improvement. Furthermore, you will play a significant role in planning and executing database migration and upgrade projects, troubleshooting and resolving database-related problems in a timely manner, and documenting database configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.On offer is an exciting career where you'll make an impact and work with innovative technology solutions.   • Strong experience as a SQL Server DBA.
  • In-depth knowledge of SQL Server database administration, including database design, installation, configuration, and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, triggers, and functions
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
  • Familiarity with high availability and disaster recovery solutions, such as database mirroring, log shipping, and clustering.
  • Knowledge of database security best practices and the ability to implement and enforce security measure
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Certification in SQL Server administration (e.g., MCSA: SQL Server or MCSE: Data Management and Analytics) is preferred.
  • Proven experience in managing large-scale SQL Server databases in a production environment.
  • Understanding of relational database management systems and their principles.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging trends in SQL Server database administration.
  • Proficiency in TSQL and PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Commvault backup and restore and SAS applications
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
