About the OPPORTUNITY

We have a new opportunity for a DCE Production Planning Lead to join our Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program based at SA-Osborne Naval Shipyard, reporting to the DCE Facilities and Production Manager.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

As part of the Destroyer Capability Enhancement Program of the Hobart Class Guided Missile Destroyers (DDGs), the DCE Planning Lead will support the development and ongoing management of the External Maintenance Period Work Package throughout the Production and Testing periods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Develop and report on Main Work List (MWL) status, specific to the delivery of Configuration Changes, Planned and Corrective Maintenance activities
  • Using Configuration Management tools to help inform the Production Delivery team on correct documentation/drawings to be used to complete MWL tasks
  • Action and acquit all Maintenance/Configuration Change planning actions and ensure technical reporting/recording processes have been followed
  • Support the development and maintenance of the Maintenance Management System, in accordance with the approved Maintenance Management Plan
  • Support the Capability Life-Cycle Manager team in the development and acquittal of Annual Work Package and Five Year Work Package
  • Develop and maintain DCE Work package(s) utilizing the Asset Management & Planning Systems (AMPS) toolset throughout Production and Testing periods
  • Support and coordinate the development of work instructions and Task Material Lists to support key DCE Program scope

About YOU

  • Significant experience in a Production / Sustainment planning environment
  • Demonstrated experience in Maritime Sustainment / Shipbuilding and/or repair using AMPS
  • Experience in effective use of planning process, tools and infrastructure
  • Good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with all levels of business and have influence on outcomes
  • Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
