About the role
This full-time, Monday-Friday position is based in Edgecliff close to public transport. Your role will be split between assisting the dentist and OHT on busy clinic days and managing admin and customer service duties to round out your week. A great role for someone who enjoys customer service and administration, looking to learn more about the operation of a dental practice with a view to future opportunities in practice management, or for an experienced DA wanting to stay in dental but seeking more variety in their role.
Key responsibilities
Nursing:
- Chair side assisting
- Sterilisation
- High level patient care and customer service
- Intraoral scanning (training provided if required)
- Professional manner and utmost courtesy with patients, with confidence to build rapport and become ‘the welcoming face’ of the practice
Administrative:
- Patient bookings and accurate file management
- Payment processing and reconciliation
- Coordinating mobile oral health services with aged care facilities
- Providing accurate and timely information on request
- Empathetic and caring yet professional communication style with patients and next of kin across our business units
Role Requirements
- Minimum Cert III in Dental Assisting,
- Minimum 1 year of experience in chair-side assisting with general, cosmetic, implants and orthodontic procedures
- Experience using dental software
- Experience in administrative tasks and customer service
- Knowledge of current infection control standards
- Reception experience will be an advantage
- Written confirmation of immunisation as per the NHMRC's The Australian Immunisation Handbook
The ideal candidate will multi-task but still maintain a high attention to detail, will support colleagues (and be supported in return) and above all take pride in delivering the best of care to our valued patients.
Occasional travel to our Castle Hill Clinic if required (to cover leave or for training, with notice provided)
