We are looking for an experienced Dental Assistant to join our team and become our leading surgical Dental Assistant. You may have had previous experience with an Oral Surgeon or Periodontist and you’re seeking more responsibility.
You will need to present well and have confidence in speaking. Ideally you have your driver’s license and your own reliable transport. You believe that you are highly motivated, love life and have a great work ethic.
If you’re the ideal candidate for the role, then you will be familiar with Dental4Windows, know your ADA Item codes and be able to explain all dental procedures simply and clearly to patients, particularly dental implant treatments and surgical procedures. Your telephone manner will be warm and engaging and you will have been a dental team member for at least 12 months.
You will also have a significant level of attention to detail, a warm smile and be ready to do everything to give our patients a positive dental experience. The majority of your patients will be requiring some form of surgery or implant rehabilitation.
Your written and verbal communication skill sets will be excellent while at the same time having high levels of computer and IT skills, including the ability to touch type and take accurate notes during consultations. You may also be experienced in customising informed consents and preparing letters for our referring dentists.
The remuneration for this position reflects the skills required and starts from $80 000, depending on your demonstrated skill levels. This is not an entry level position, but requires a significant skill set coupled with a desire to continue to learn and grow.
You will be available from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday every week to complete 38 hours weekly in a 4-day working week.
We will provide any training in our systems and procedures required so that you can be supported to excel in your role. You will also be trained in using the 3D printer to print their immediate teeth after implant placement. You may also choose to be trained further in using planning software to assist in planning the surgery. You must love checklists and systems and be 100% committed to their daily implementation.
