Dental Assistant – Specialist Orthodontist

Permanent Position - Full Time 

Smart Orthodontics is a long-established Orthodontic practice in South Australia, providing specialist orthodontic services to patients across the city, suburban and rural locations. We are committed to providing high quality orthodontic treatment in a friendly and caring environment. 

We are seeking a Dental Assistant to join our professional and caring team of hygienists, assistants and administration staff.  This is a dynamic role in a fast-paced environment that offers variety, flexibility and encourages initiative, whilst providing excellent orthodontic care to our patients. 

About you: 

• You have experience as a Dental Assistant;
• You are sincere and caring;
• You are a team player with a great attitude and a strong work ethic;
• You would love to join us in a Full-Time role where you will be trained and well compensated;
• You are bright, highly motivated and take pride in your work;
• Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting is an advantage.

Key Responsibilities/Skills:

• A focus on providing each patient with a positive, professional service;
• Strict adherence to the latest infection control protocols and standards;
• Ability to operate at a fast pace, providing assistance to our specialist Orthodontist and hygienists;
• Confident, happy, flexible, team orientated person, who cares about fellow team members and our patients;
• Ability and skills to work on reception as well as a chair-side Dental Assistant;
• Basic computer skills; 
• Licence to operate an ionising radiation apparatus, (xray licence) is an advantage or willingness to complete the qualification;
• Willing to travel to all locations including Stepney, Gawler, Port Lincoln and Clare, travel is shared amongst the team and compensated.
