To learn more please visit www.serco.com/ahscAbout the RoleYou will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients. You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.To be successful in this role, you will have:The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.Ability to work independently as well as part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and high-quality care to patients within a dental surgery.About Larrakeyah Health CentreLarrakeyah Health Centre is located at the Larrakeyah Barracks in Darwin City. The facility supports Army personnel and HMAS Coonawarra, and has a routine dependency of 1,100 personnel, surging every 3 months to conduct pre and post deployment medicals. The centre provides primary medical, dental, and physiotherapy services.
