Northern Rivers Oral and Maxillo-Facial Surgery are seeking a part-time Dental Hygienist or Oral Health Therapist to join our supportive, warm and fun team.
We are a family-owned specialist medical practice providing surgical services for the mouth, neck, face and jaw. Our team of highly trained experienced specialists are fully accredited & recognised surgeons, who have been offering the Northern Rivers community a professional and friendly service since 1999.
Our specialists diagnose & treat countless conditions, including:
Wisdom teeth, impacted & terminal tooth extraction
Dental Implants - in preparation for crowns or implant retained dentures
Oral and facial cancers, tumors and cysts
TMJ problems (jaw pain, clicking jaws & painful jaw joints)
Dental splints to assist with grinding of teeth & clenching
Oral pathology – lumps, bumps, abnormal patches
Facial procedures & trauma surgery
We have identified a vast need for comprehensive follow up care for our patients following surgical interventions, which include dental implants and extractions.
Our practice has an emphasis on providing an exceptional patient experience from the moment our patient walks through the door, of which this position will play an integral part in this experience. We are looking for someone who works well as part of a motivated team, whilst also being independently confident. Lead the way in Oral Health innovation and excellence within a supportive team environment. The role will give you purpose and fulfillment with key areas to learn and grow. It will allow you the freedom to develop and mould the position and treatments offered as the need grows.
Our team will provide you with mentorship and support as required, along with assisting you to develop your skills across several key areas, including digital applications, scanners, CBCT Radiography, RAYFace scanning and medical software.
Dental Hygienist services
The majority of patients are returning adult patients post procedure
Ongoing regular clean and maintenance of implant sites post implant placement
Diet, decay and oral hygiene counseling
Periodontal debridement pre surgery
Guided review of emergency patients
Guided and supervised examination of emergency patients
Triaging of patients
Intraoral digital scanning for implant planning & TMJ splint creation
Facial photography using RAYFace scanning software
About the Role
Start date ASAP – happy to negotiate
Permanent Part-time or Casual position
2 - 3 days a week, with the flexibility of expanding days should this mutually benefit the candidate and practice
Remuneration negotiable depending upon skill set & experience
