Access theAbout the roleTemporarary full time opportunity to provide, develop and maintain an efficient, effective, ethical and confidential administrative and secretarial support service to the Director, Deputy Directors and other department staff attached to the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery.About youOur ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Provide high quality secretarial/administrative support as a member of an efficient multi-disciplinary team.
  • Liaise with, arrange and maintain a daily diary of meeting and appointments for the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery. Organising meetings and conferences, arranging venues, catering, correspondence and material for the Director at such meetings and appointments.
  • Prepare high quality typewritten correspondence and documents both administrative and clinical for the Director of Orthopaedic Surgery, any member of the Orthopaedic Department and timely distribution of such material after signature.
  • Within level of authority, liaise, facilitate, direct, negotiate and request information, responses and/or seek resolutions from members within the Unit and other Departmental staff as required to ensure the efficient management and co-ordination of planning for the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery
