About the role

Select Plant Australia operates as part of the Laing O'Rourke Group and has one of the industry's largest and most diverse ranges of equipment, accommodation and tools to deliver on every type of construction project.

Laing O'Rourke is currently recruiting for a self-motivated Depot Administrator to join the team in our Seven Hills depot in a full time and permanent role, where they will provide complete administration support to ensure the efficient operation of the depot. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain office filing and support systems and distribute incoming and outgoing correspondence.
  • Provide administration support to the Depot Manager and wider team and ensure information is provided to clients is accurate, timely and in accordance with organisational policies and procedures.
  • Set up and maintain wages staff details in EIFY to ensure training records and qualifications are up to date and process weekly timesheets
  • Process work orders and jobcards and monitor open orders; following up with suppliers to close out when required.
  • Ensuring all purchase orders for spare parts, repairs, transport, depot overhead costs are correctly processed and relevant authorised documentation supports each purchase.
  • Processing Goods Received Notes / Delivery Dockets.
  • Monitoring rejected invoices, incorrect accruals and costs.

About you

  • Previous experience working in the Plant and Equipment Hire industry or alternatively, experience within Procurement/Purchasing & Office Administration fields will be highly regarded.
  • Accurate and timely data processing skills with a high attention to detail is required
  • An appetite for the job and genuine interest in the generation of a first class level of customer service.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time-management skills to process a high volume of customer requests as well as a good understanding of accounts payable and receivable processes will be required. 
  • The successful candidate must also possess intermediate MS Office package skills (in particular, MS Excel) and excellent data entry skills.
