The successful applicant will work as a member of the executive leadership team, alongside three other Deputy Principals to drive the school's explicit improvement agenda and positive outcomes for students within the Primary Sector of the school.

Southport Special School is a Queensland Department of Education and Training school campus where quality teaching supports the learning of all of our students. Located on the sunny Gold Coast and not far from the M1, our school caters for the learning of students from Prep to Year 12.

About the Role
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Be futures oriented and strategic;
- Understand the legislation and policies that impact on schooling especially in relation to students with disability;
- Ability to drive the school's explicit improvement agenda;
- Set high standards for student and staff performance;
- Engage in data analysis to support teachers in behavioural support processes;
- Effectively lead complex case management processes in collaboration with families, therapists and external providers;
- Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
