Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Innovation
Deakin is a university with global impact, and with more than 60,000 students it is one of Australia’s largest universities. The University has strong global linkages, world-class research and an education portfolio that blends the best of campus and digital delivery into a highly supportive and personalised student experience.
The Deputy Vice-Chancellor Research and Innovation ensures delivery of Deakin’s strategic plan and vision through dedicated leadership of Deakin’s research and innovation strategy and research training. They will enhance capability across Deakin in the portfolio; maximising the social, cultural and economic impact the University delivers regionally, nationally and globally.
Deakin’s research outputs and performance have grown significantly in the past ten years. The role therefore offers the opportunity to deliver a systemic program and framework to support research, embed and maintain existing performance and drive continued growth across the University, while ensuring highly productive relationships with the Faculties.
