Dermal Therapist for Dermatology Practice

Dermatology Clinics Australia is seeking an experienced and dedicated Dermal Therapist to join our Dermatology practice on a part-time basis, helping patients with acne and melasma as well as assisting our skin doctors and dermatologists support patients with eczema, psoriasis & vitiligo.

Duties & responsibilities:

• Report directly to the Clinic Manager
• Completing professional training through Dermatology Education to gain thorough knowledge of the conditions we treat
• Meet with patients to discuss our specialist-led treatment pathways and explain our home care products
• Develop patient journeys to include home care, in-clinic treatments such as chemical peels, and combination treatments with our skin doctors to provide best patient outcomes.
• Liaise with dermatologists and specialists to ensure best outcomes for patients
• Treat patients with specialist peels for acne and melasma
• Treat patients with UVB phototherapy using dermatologist prescribed settings
• Regular follow up with patients to ensure compliance with prescribed treatment plans and check progress
• Provide a high level of care and communication to patients
• Utilise medical software to keep accurate and comprehensive patient notes and records

Experience & attributes:

• Prior experience facilitating and encouraging treatment plans
• Prior experience delivering chemical peels
• Prior experience developing home care plans
• Excellent organisational and time management skills and ability to prioritise 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong commitment to achieve good patient outcomes
• A desire to help people with the management of their condition long term
• Proficiency in maintaining a clinical environment
• Ability to educate patients about skincare routines and post-treatment care
