Design Engineer - 2D Cad Drafter

Paying $54.20ph + super
12 month assignment from commencement

Working 35 hours per day, 7 hours per day
About the Role
Our client is the delivery powerhouse behind some of NSW's most crucial projects. Their work is in the hospitals, dams, water treatment plants and high schools. They are now seeking a Design Engineer/2D CAD Drafter to come in and assist them on a 12 month assignment from commencement.
Candidates for this position must be an experienced CAD Designer/Drafter/Engineer with considerable Dam project experience, coupled with extensive experience producing drawings on large Dam projects.
Key responsibilities and details of work will include:
CAD 2D civil detailed design drawings for dam structures that include intake tower, access bridge extension, outlet unnel and valve chamber.
CAD 2D mechanical detailed design drawings of components (e.g. pipework, trashracks etc.) related to the dam structures.
CAD 2D civil detailed design drawings of a pumping station and inlet structure.
CAD 2D mechanical tender drawings of components (e.g. pipework, valves etc.) related to the pump station.
CAD 2D mechanical detailed design drawings of components (e.g. pipework, operating platform, trashracks etc.) related to the inlet structure.
Experience in producing drawings on Dam projects would advantages for the role.
Provide high level technical advice to engineers using modern engineering design packages such as AutoCAD and/or MicroStation.
Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative engineering outcomes for NSW Public Works and its clients.
Please note that you will work 35 hours per week, and 7 hours per day
About You
You will be an experienced CAD Officer with proven experience and reliability in previous positions
The successful candidate will possess:
An Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering (or similar qualification)
Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years' broad experience in a range of Civil and Mechanical engineering infrastructure projects.
High level knowledge and be able to demonstrate high level of proficiency in AutoCAD and/or MicroStation packages
Proven knowledge and experience of engineering design standards associated with civil and mechanical works
