AddressDesign Verification Engineer

Finisar Australia is seeking a talented Design Verification Engineer to join our Design Verification Testing (DVT) team in Sydney. This is principally a technical position involving the designing, planning, executing and reporting on lab experiments.
Here’s what you’ll do at Finisar:
- Develop test procedures for Wavelength Selective Switch (WSS) and Instrumentation products to verify the design of new products.
- Provide and review test reports.
- Provide recommendations to improve product quality or to meet design intent.
- Provide prompt and accurate support to internal and external requests.
- Recommend, gain approval and implement measurable continuous improvement to the DVT process.
- Define DVT equipment requirements for the group.
- Interact with the Software, Firmware, Electronics design groups, Reliability, R&D and production team to resolve issues discovered during testing.
What we are looking for:
Essential:
- Physics/Electronic Engineering/Photonics Degree or equivalent.
- Good written and oral communication skills.
- LabVIEW or other software programming experience.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of optical communications.
- Electronics knowledge.
- Experienced in optics lab work and the use of optical test equipment.
