About the Role
We have an opportunity for a new position at our Binders Frame & Trusslocation an Estimator & Detailer. In this role, you will work alongside our existing Detailer, assisting with wall frame, roof and wall detailing on our Pryda Build software. Additionally, you will complete material take-offs for our sales team, with in-house software.
What we need for you:
There are three types of applicants we will consider.
- An applicant with previous experience in a similar role. Pryda Build certification is extremely advantageous; however, we will consider any applicants with experience working with timber Frame & Truss software.
or
- An applicant that has not worked directly with detailing software but has experience with material take-offs and associated software/programmes.
or
- An applicant that has a construction background, with a sound understanding of building practices, with a desire to get of the tools, strong computer skills and a willingness to learn. For this applicant we will consider on the job training and certification with our detailing software.
With the skills above, your day will involve:
- Previous frame and truss detailing experience, ideally with the Pyda Build software and training certification is extremely advantageous, but not essential.
- To be technically minded, having some exposure and experience in the building industry, with the ability to communicate technical concepts with confidence.
- Have a high level of problem-solving skills and experience.
- To provide accurate and cost effecting detailing of wall frames, roof and floor trusses and material take-offs four our customers.
- Provide a high level of customer service and assist clients and our internal sales team with their technical enquiries.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Understanding of the relevant building codes and Australian Standards.
- Sound Mathematical skills.
- Exceptional computer literacy.
- Self-motivation, and the ability to work to deadlines.
In addition to the above, other duties may be required to assist the business to deliver its highest level of service to customers as demand fluctuates.
