The Role
Our fantastic New Product Development (NPD) team is looking for a passionate and dynamic Development Chef to work from our Perth site.
The role will be working with the Product Development team and playing a vital role in contributing to the growth of the business portfolio.
You will be responsible for:
- Assisting and developing accurate recipes and Feasibility Costings according to project brief requirements for new products and improving existing products to ensure critical timelines are met.
- Organising and presenting tasting sessions along with Feasibility costings, reference samples and nutritional information in accordance with Project Brief requirements.
- Attending and monitoring Factory Trials (online & offline) and initial manufacturing productions.
- Providing recommended cooking/reheating times for maintaining optimum product quality and achieve food safety requirements on product concepts created or reformulated.
- Facilitating culinary training support and organising food events.
- Providing information on project status and attend NPD and other technical meetings as requested.
The Person
To be successful in the role you will:
- 5 years minimum work experience as a Sous/Head Chef
- You will have demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of the development of recipes and menus.
- An Adaptable working style, strong time management skills and the willingness to contribute to a high performing team is crucial.
