Summary:
The Development Engineer will be responsible for collaborating with project teams to manage the design and approval processes and oversee the delivery of residential developments. This role involves all aspects of residential subdivision development, from feasibility studies to detailed design reviews, and providing feedback to both internal teams and external consultants.
Major Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Assist Project Directors and Development Managers on projects, primarily in the ACT region.
- Contribute to feasibility studies and provide due diligence recommendations.
- Prepare consultant briefs and recommend the appointment of consultants.
- Review engineering designs and assist with future planning.
- Liaise with and direct consultants during the design, documentation, construction, and title registration phases.
- Manage consultants during tendering and construction phases, and approve variations.
- Assist Development Managers in preparing project budgets, cash flows, and programmes.
- Facilitate the preparation of Development Applications and voluntary planning agreements.
- Liaise with government agencies to ensure timely approvals.
- Monitor the performance of projects against time, cost, and quality objectives.
- Contribute to determining and shaping the sales and marketing strategy for projects.
- Ensure compliance with WHS legislation and regulations, including for consultants, subcontractors, and other stakeholders engaged by the company.
- Maintain communication with stakeholders.
- Prepare progress reports for senior management review.
- Perform other duties as directed.

Develop strong partnerships with all key stakeholders, including management, staff, shareholders, investors, suppliers, consultants, and clients, to deliver exceptional customer service.
Continuous Improvement:
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the company's business, market conditions, and the property industry across all geographies.
- Stay informed about relevant legislation and industry requirements.
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, reports, and procedures, ensuring a high level of computer literacy.
- Participate in ongoing training and development for yourself and the team.
- Maintain high proficiency in analytical and statistical skills.
