Operational Technology (OT) is critical to provide continuous 24/7 real time management of the South Australian Transmission. OT is on a transformation with world-leading technology to support Australia's clean energy future.
We are currently seeking a Systems Engineer, Systems Administrator or DevOps Engineer to join our Operational Technology team on a permanent full time basis. As the Systems Engineer you will work on ensuring Operational Systems are administered, supported and sustained over the long term that will transform the South Australian Transmission System. This will involve working with users to improve systems, ensure long term reliability of systems, evolve them with renewable energy strategies, and ensure they are integrated with other systems to provide data visibility and reliable performance of the energy network. You will have the opportunity to work with Network Operations, and use your engineering skills, innovation and strategic thinking to continually improve our network and meet customer needs.
You will be responsible for the planning, delivery, operations, and maintenance of several Operational Technology applications with the emphasis on the SCADA Energy Management System and other leading edge energy grid analysis applications. As part of a team of highly skilled professionals, you will be at the forefront of the renewable energy revolution in South Australia.
You will have a Tertiary qualification in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or a similar relevant discipline as well as:
- Proven experience in Software Engineering, DevOps or Systems Administration practices.
- Experience in the Systems Integration, Operation, Support and Maintenace phases of systems/software engineering lifecycle is desirable.
- Experience in SCADA systems, other command and control systems, or advanced systems with both hardware and software components is desirable.
- Bringing DevOps and other disciplined agile practices to an engineer group.
- Being able to work well with vendors and stakeholders.
