Working closely with our dedicated Belt Splicers you will be entrusted to provide technical assistance and diagnostic support for conveyor maintenance and operation concerns. Your proactive approach will help guide our Gladstone Branch towards future greatness through technical support to our clients by recognising, evaluating, and determining conveyor solutions to a range of mine sites across the area. Insight to the day-to-day:
Reporting directly to our Service Manager, this role will see you:
- Provide technical support and recommendations to the field service operations.
- Keep abreast and up to date with technical changes relevant to the role and regulatory NDT methods.
- Develop accurate and comprehensive client reports on belt/conveyor efficiencies including recommendations.
- Use data to maximise opportunities for our clients’ conveying systems.
- Perform Quality Assurance Audits on splices as required.
- Prepare quotations and follow up on any quotations given.
- Communicate and recommend sales/service opportunities to relevant stakeholders.

What we are looking for:
- Certificate III or II in Polymer Processing. Whilst not essential, those with extensive experience are encouraged to apply, as we can formalise your knowledge as a registered RTO!
- Certificate/License in Industrial Radiography - desirable
- Competent knowledge and operation of Diagnostics and NDT techniques/methods
- Competent product knowledge of belt scanning and rip detection systems.
- Experienced in mining operations both open cute and underground – 3 to 5 Years’.
- Current QLD Coal Board Medical or ability to successfully obtain (Company recovered)
- Ability to apply technical knowledge and experience to solve problems.
- Can prepare and understand costing and estimates.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality
- Valid driver’s license and high-risk work license
