Our client is a privately owned company with an extensive strategic coking coal tenement portfolio in Queensland's Bowen Basin. Their assets are strategically located near operating mines and infrastructure in the region. Their acquired mine in 2018 and produces up to five million tonnes per annum. The company focuses on innovation, expansion, and responsible growth, shaping the future of Australian coal.
Your new role
- Perform maintenance and servicing of company-owned equipment, particularly screening and crushing plants, heavy machinery, and auxiliary equipment.
- Respond to equipment breakdowns and handle ad-hoc tasks as needed.
- Foster positive relationships with on-site contractor maintenance staff and oversee diverse work programs.
- Collaborate with the ROM/production operations team to ensure equipment availability and production efficiency.
- Support civil and construction teams in mine site development projects.
- Promote and uphold the site's safety objectives.
- Interact with internal and external stakeholders to promote continuous improvement.
- Maintaining a fleet of machinery - CAT, Hitachi, Komatsu & Finlay etc
What you'll need to succeed
- Diesel Fitter Trade Certificate
- 3+ years post-trade experience
- Coal Board Medical
- Standard 11
- Driver's Licence
- Living locally in the Central QLD Region
- Contactable References
