Due to growing demand our client is seeking Diesel Fitter/-Diesel Mechanic Technicians to join there hard working and dedicated team. As a Diesel Fitter- Mechanic Technician, you will be responsible for all aspects of mechanical repair.Your role would include and not be limited to the following duties:
- Diagnosing, repairing, fitting and overhauling diesel engines and plant equipment.
- Maintaining, diagnosing, repairing and fitting hydraulic components of diesel–powered attachments such as pumps and injectors.
- Dismantling, repairing and reassembling engines, transmissions, steering columns and other components.
- Using oxy, electric, TIG and MIG welding techniques to fit, replace, assemble and repair metal parts including fabrication of parts, machinery and other equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy vehicle fuel injections systems.
- Testing repaired parts for proper performance.
- Testing and repairing basic electrical circuits.
- Using computers and specialized tools to diagnose and repair faults.
- Inspecting vehicles and machinery for faults.
- Following workplace Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) protocols.
-Trained and have experience in Diesel Fuel injection repairs
-Experience to disassemble, clean and inspect pumps and injectors
- Repair, service and calibrate components.
-Diagnostic Skills
-Able to demonstrate efficient work practices.
-Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
